Diagnosis
This genus is distinguished from Isocypridina on the basis of the fifth limb having the endopodite of the second antenna in males being reflexed (instead of straight), the outer lobe of the third segment of the fifth limb having two setae (instead of 4).
Remarks
Ten known species of which one, Azygocypridina imperalis has been reported from the Northeast Atlantic in benthic sledge sample collected from depths >2000m (Athersuch, 1980).
