Azygocypridina imperialis

(Stebbing, 1901)

Diagnosis
Length female 9.5mm, male 7.3mm. Caught in quite large numbers at depths of 1900-3000m in the Northeastern Atlantic (Athersuch, 1980) in epibenthic sledge samples. This is a large conspicuous yellow-orange species associated with regions of foraminiferal ooze.

Remarks
This is one of the fifteen species within the Cypridinidae which are superficially keyed-out in this program.
